I aim for the top of the heart. If it hits dead on I should take part of the heart and hit both lungs. If the deer squats I should hit lungs. If he jumps, I should hit heart. (at least that's the game plan )

Right behind the front leg where the leg joins the torso. It's a winner! Top of the spine works well too, but you have to be very picky about that angle.
