opening day success/ muzzy review
Well I climbed in my stand at 6am. Within 30 min in the stand I had a few does under my stand. At first light I had 6 does within shooting range along with a small 4 point. I could see a medium sized 8 at 100 yds. So I figuted I would hold of on a tasty doe for the buck. Well the does left and the buck left aswell. About 10 I had a big fat groundhog at 15 yds. We have horses and cows so we hate them guys so I took him out. Never shot one with a bow. Then I took a quik lunch and got back in my stand. At 5 pm I had 2 does at 20 yds. I could not take the heat much longer and just wanted to go home so I took a nice doe. So I bought some muzzy phantoms a couple months ago. It put holes big enough to put 2 fingers in and snapped a rib in half. She only ran 20 yds. Complete pass through. I always track even when I know where they went bc you can always learn something. This doe sprayed until she dropped. Hope everyone had a successful hunt. Even if it was relaxing day away from all the going on in this world.
