Safety Reminder
Bowhunters have been out there for awhile now, but with early muzzleloader coming on Saturday and rifle season to quickly follow, it's a safe bet more hunters will be chasing deer in the coming months. Tragedy can happen when we least expect it. Just some quick reminders for us all. Feel free to add to the this thought process as you see fit.
Know your target and the area around your target.
Wear your blaze orange.
Wear your safety belt if hunting from an elevated stand.
Make sure someone knows where you are hunting and when you plan to return.
Carry some basic survival items with you on every hunt.
Be respectful of other hunters and landowners.
Be ethical in your hunting decisions.
Keep yourself in good physical condition. Eat healthy and get good sleep before a hunt.
Be a leader in sharing your outdoor passions with others. Always set a good example.
Keep balance in your life during hunting season, something easily lost during this exciting season.
Give thanks to the Lord and your family and friends.
