Post Gobbling Report
Probably going to go out this Saturday listening to few places close to home I can hunt and see if they're sounding off yet. I know it will probably be a few weeks before they really get fired up but I have had a couple buddy's saying they've seen them grouped up strutting already.

Post Re: Gobbling Report
took a little drive yesterday and saw gobblers strutting in three fields that l could see from the road. Two groups were a few hens and a gobbler, other was gobblers and jakes.

Walked back in different areas that can't be seen from the rod and in there i saw two very large groups of birds ( 30+)with gobblers strutting in them and in one group there was significant gobbling and some fighting, and this was ten am. All were on private ground. Surprised they were this active but it is the kind of warm nd rainy weather that usually get them going in March.

Saw 5 strutters with 15 hens yesterday. My hunting partner saw a few strutters yesterday as well. I bet they are gobbling.

I've seen very large groups of turkeys in fields in Franklin County and Goochland County with gobblers strutting! I'm sure there is a little bit of roost gobbling going on, but I imagine with the groups still as large as they are, it doesn't take long for them to shut up. As long as the weather isn't terrible Friday and Saturday early, I plan on going out to listen and see if I can hear that first gobble of the year!

Have not done the Q official gobbler survey, that is 28 Mar. through 9 Apr.

But been doing my own since this past Sat. and have a total of 22. Two of these may be duplications since the one day I heard 2 in one area but the next day I heard 2 again in another area that was across the street from the day before and about 800 yards apart and in the past the travel of birds is in same general directions. Pretty sure the others have not been duplications as the routes have been at least 2 miles from each other.

Again not very hard gobbling and still seeing LB together.

They're gobbling. Mainly on the roost but a few times on the ground. Haven't heard any past 7:40. Huge flocks right now. Should start breaking up some in 10-14 days

Went ou to listen for the first time this season and we heard a lot. I knew we had a lot of gobblers in the area but I was shocked how many we heard, we heard several at every farm we stopped at. It was a cool 30 degrees in N Fauquier this morning, but no wind. No rest until May now!

Pretty good morning, heard 8 and watched 3 others strut for a couple hens. Some hen talk this morning after they were on the ground with a longbeard gobbling a couple times with them.
