 One of the smaller flocks...
this photo represents about 65% of the total turkeys i saw on the "farm" on a recent outing...and there are 50 turkeys in this picture. JD... in this case it looks like "it's ALL about the numbers"!!!! What a beautiful site. Looks and sounds like the hatch was good most everywhere this spring. I sat in a tree stand a few weeks ago, had 32 turkeys in the filed at once. A couple days later had 14 longbeards (not part of the 32) come to the same field. They ran each other, fought, purred & gobbled, strutted....basically put on a grand show. Can we request that April trade spaces with January on the calendar.???.. I 'm like a kid at Christmas...anticipation is boiling in my veins!!!
