Just curious, are any of you guy's call collectors? I started collecting about 1983, and have a pretty nice collection. I also make terrapin shell slate calls,( from already dead terrapins )

I have about 40 box calls, A few I paid alittle more than I should have...ssshhhhh! don't tell my wife. I want a Neil Cost box call so bad I can taste it. But I know it will never happen. My favorites are my Alabama Lynch Box Calls. The Fool Proof ,World Champion. I also have a Lynch 50th Annv box, I got it on E-bay for 73.00. I saw one sell on there for 502.00 That's crazy. They are coming out with the 65th Annv box calls this month. I just think it a great folk art, I'm trying my hand at making them now, not as easy as it looks. Have fun and God Bless.

I have a bunch of older handmade(as opposed to production line made calls)...I hunt with them..or at least soem of them...I carry everyday a Lamar Williams box that I have had since the late 80's(recent ebay-+800...and Ray Sutphin calls hat are one of kind and were given to me by Ray...it is interesing to me that the original turkey maker callbook by Mikel is worth more than a lot of calls and have a few copies that I got the first year it came out...I do notconsider myself acall collector as such, but I have a lot of custom or handmade "sought after "calls, which I would not part with... 2 cents.

Midwest has the Lynch 65th calls in world champion, fool proof & a glass slate. I like the Lynch Bham calls, I have several in world champ, fool proof,& jet slate. As for Neil Cost calls I don't have one either, I would have to find one at a yard sale :D can you imagine that ! Believe it or not that's where you can find some of the older calls.
Max, did I see your calls at expo in Fishersville last year? If so will you be there this year ?
I have Earl Mickels second book and would like to have the first one, but man are they bringing a high price.
Keep em Gobblin !

Gobblenow told me the first time we hunted together that if he was ever shot or died while we were hunting to make sure and take his vest out when I went for help because it was too valuable to leave in the woods with him... Seriously...
