Got out and listened at sunrise this morning on the Loudoun/Clarke Co. border and was not disappointed.
Heard four with one being about 100 yds from where my car was parked.
Things are definitely starting to get good!!

Went out this morning to listen down the road. Went to kiss the wife before I left and she said she wanted to tag along. Glad she did!
We had one gobbler sounding off 100 yds behind us. We could see him clearly strutting & gobbling on the limb.
Another silent gobbler flew down and came the road about 40 yds from us. Crossed and walked up the field.
Saw two other strutters way up the mountain w/ four hens.
Got to watch one of the near gobblers chase off a Jake and display for his lone hen.
Had a great morning getting primed for opening day!
