The National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) National Capital Area Chapter in partnership with the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries are sponsoring a Women in the Outdoors event September 7, 2002, at the Izaak Walton League facility in Centreville VA. This is an all day event for women 12 years and older offering participation and instruction in various introductory outdoor activities that include: Fly fishing, Fly Tying, Fishing, Wilderness Survival, Game Biology and Hunting Techniques, Rifle Shooting, Shotgun Shooting, Pistol Shooting, Archery, Map and Compass, Nature Photography, and Mountain Biking. A $45 registration fee includes: a 1-year NWTF membership (includes: T-shirt and 4 Women in the Outdoors Magazines or 6 Turkey Call Magazines), continental breakfast, lunch, educational materials, and equipment use.
