Herein Southampton cty no good rain in about six weeks just hit and miss t-storms,there is plenty of water still i think but they will have to go to the rivers and ponds and some of the bigger swamps to get it . I think that makes them more vounerable to preditors. The morns are dew covered mostly so im sure that helps . How does hot and dry affect poults on the whole ? JMF |

I have always heard the the drier the better for poult survival but there has to be a certain level that too hot and too dry is bad. Poult numbers look good around these parts so far (Bedford/Franklin Co.) Turkeys get a lot of their needed water through foods that they eat and morning dews. I think this should be a good year for poult production but we sure could use some rain... |
