I am going to try to get a gun tuned up for it as I find some spare time. I have visited a lot with RAndy Lewis(morristown, Tn) , who has won the NWTF target compteton with H-S for the last two years. He has given me some ideas and I am ordering a special choke tube from him that is like the one he has used to win the contests. I have noticed that shooters in SC particularly are really on the H-S bandwago and have heard from several in that state who really had great success wit h it durin g the recent turkey season... would like to know what choke tubes they are using? During the last duck season I shot it some throug ha straihgt cylinder tube and it was prety incredible at hlding a pattern way out there , and becasue f its weight it killed birds cleanly at distances way beyond what I was used too, even in the leadshot days....H-S will change turkey shooting dramtaically I think in the shooting-side in the next few years.

GN...I havn't tried it yet but have heard several people who was having really good success using the Hevi Shot and Rhino Choke tubes. The Rhino Chokes can handle hevi-shot since it is steel rated. Let us know how it goes, Scott

I will probably give it a try when I find the time. I'm very interested to see what I can do with it. I witnessed a turkey get shot with it here in VA this year and I was impressed. I have spoken with too many people that know what they are talking about to not give it a try.

Scott-- I think the maufacturers are saying use only steel shot tubes because they have not orchestrated a publicity and advertising campaign for the stuff and the right tubes until this coming year...wait and see how many come out with h/s tubes i n the near future...all the steel shot tubes wil shot it too some degree right now with fair results. Although it is just "luck" so far that they aork well, and when the manufacturers put their minds to it there is goingto be a whiole new woprld ofthese tubes come out. The intesting thing to me was the patterns I got with HS on a straight cylinder(lead) tube in the duck season were certainly good enogh to kill turkeys at 40 yds...but some of the patterns with custom HS only tubes are incredible at 40 yds(like 41 pellets in the 3 inch circle in the NWTF competeion by Randy Lewis). That will "mushmellow" one as Freddy likes to say.

I've tried Remington's version this season and was impressed as well. I have a Tru_glo choke tube and it shot great using that choke with Rem's 1 1/2oz of #5 HS!!!!!
