Afternoon, I'm not how many of yall know who Neil Cost is , but I just read on customcalls.com that he past away on May 29th. I don't have any of his call and probably never will not. Big $$$ to try and get one. If you are lucky enough to have one you have a part of turkeycall history. The turkey world has lost one of it's greatest leaders.

I do not have any of the Cost calls, but I do have some Lamar Williams box calls and several Ray Sutphin box and friction calls. I hunt with these calls each season . Both these callmakers have been described as on par with Cost. Lamar studied under Cost, and Sutphin (Charlotte, nc) was described by Earl Mikel as one of the three great living callmakers about two years ago. Unfortunatley, Suthpin died last fall as well. I bough most of these calls I have more than ten year ago from these fellows and Sutphin and I became good friends and he has sent me a number of his "new" types of friction calls over the years. You will not see any Sutphin calls on the market as there were probably less than 100 of his box calls ever made, althoug hthe smaller friction scratch box type calls are more numerous(and just as collectable). The Williams calls are going at prices up in the $800 range on ebay at this time and will go up from there.
