Hey sixshot,
I have not been out nearly as much as I would like. I hear that the topwater bite is working pretty good right now at night. Old standbys like the broken back redfin and thunderstick are taking quite a few when fished around the mouths of creeks and across deep main lake points. Specifically Betty and Becky Creeks have been holding some good fish. We are heading down to North Carolina to spend the weekend with some friends so you will have all the fish to yourself!!! Hope you guys have a great time and load the boat. Looks like the weather is going to be perfect! |

BIG BIRD,
Going back to a previous post, referring to raising money for the web site, you mentioned VA Turkey hats/ Tshirts. I would love to own a few of each! Please let me know how I can get my hands on them. Do they exist yet, or is it still a thought on having them made up? Please advise me, I'm definately interested.

We just got back and plum wore out! I fished the dam Sat. eve, and night. No luck. Went out this morning and caught 5, only one keeper though ( 25 inches ). They wasn't hitting on top so I used a pearl grub and that worked. Caught most at six in the morning, and a couple more here and there. Thanks for the info. I'm going back !! |

sixshot - Way to go! Sounds like you found them and they were in the mood. Don't worry about the keepers. They all count one! Lots of little ones in the lake now due to the increased restocking efforts. 25 incher is no slouch though. Congratulations and let me know when you are going back and I will try and give you some more specific information. My email is included.
