Guys, Hunted your fine commonwealth this year for 3 great days. Killed one gobbler, 18 lbs. 9" 1" should have had a double with my brother but it didn't work out.
A little more patience would have helped.

Stumbled upon your site while looking for info. regarding hunting in VA in March. and have been reading the posts almost daily ever since. You have a great thing going here and your discussions a very thought provoking, informative and enjoyable.

We are into the last week here in PA and the weather has been horrible. I 've hunted in snow two days May 3 and 18, both days had measurable accumulations !!! Birds have been tough to hunt.

Wish it wasn't a 7 hour drive to the cookout sounds like a great time. Thanks for the entertainment - already looking forward to next year.

Kinzua Beards, where are you from because if your posting name reflects where you live you are in my old stomping grounds. PS good luck in that last week up there, and congrats on your kill here.

Hody, I live in Cochranton, PA now but have a place in Marshburg (near Bradford)that we hunt from.

Where are your old stomping grounds and do you ever get back to chase turkeys ? There are lots of birds and not much pressure in that part of the Alleghany National Forest. ( if you do your pre season scouting and get off of the beaten path. )
