Hi Y'all. I just found this site courtesy of Hokie Strut on NWTF board. How have I lived this long and not known about our own personal VA Turkey Hunter board? Well I am from Haymarket and simply can't wait. Anybody ever hunted the WMA in Madison for turkeys? I currently hunt in Augusta County near Greenville but it is 2 plus hours from home.

Let me know who all is in here.

Welcome Mike.Freddy runs a nice board here. No politics or offensive material.Just turkeys. And howto corral them, and good call info too. IMHO.

Welcome, I usually run out to Augusta County to do most of my turkey hunting too. Which general Area do you hunt. (Deerfield, Braily Pond, Afton Mountain, Norht Mountian)?

The area is so vast, sometimes its hard to find them. Well, Take Care,

I hunt just outside of Greenville. In fact I can see route 81 from where I am hunting. On a quiet day when the wind is blowing right, the trucks can drown out the sound of the gobblers. I currently hunt on private land but am interested in going to the Forest but I dont know where is good to go where there isnt a great deal of pressure. Any suggestion.

I am new also--in here and turkey hunting both. I usually see them around the cornfield and watch where they go roost and try my luck the next morning if I feel lucky. Things have fell into place a few times for me but wish us luck as we will try to get a hunt on video this spring. Keep checking in, Rob Mc.
