what do you do with a week left to hunt you still have a tag but don,t hear birds anywhere, i know where they were, think they are still there but they aren't gobbling. still see one once or twice a week out in a field strutting with a couple hens on land i can't hunt but have seen or heard nothing for the last 2 weeks in my area. anyone else having this problem? i don't mind being patient but my time is running out.

I had the same problem today! Not one gobble in the West Point area and we walked up on two birds real late in the tree's. Hens were talking, but no Gobblers????? Looks like the prime time is winding down

there just starting back up in Craig County and Bland County. Towards the end of the season I do a whole lot more sitting and less calling then the first part of the season. I'll go to an area that I know holds turkeys, get comfortable and call every now and then with some purrs inbetween. a.k.a... Blind Calling. Be careful though because alot of times they will come in quite without ever gobbling... good luck to ya'.. i still have three tags this year also... dang rotten string of bad luck going on here

Geeze Tscott. If YOU have 3 tags I don't feel so bad. Good advice though. Wish I could just be patient enough to sit for 3-4 hours. I am a runner and gunner. Live and ususally die by it. Good luck. It's full court press time now.
