This morning it all came together, with a nice tom being the result. He wasn't a Hog, weight wise, but he had a nice thick 9 1/4" beard with some matching 7/8" spurs. He topped out at only 17.8 lbs!! As soon as I finish up this roll of film in my camera, I'll post a pic or two!! Now I have the rest of the month to work on bird #2!!!! |

way to go Paul...it is nice to be able to tell your own stories after suffering through all of ours for the last six weeks or so. BTW I read on your board where you are thinking BOUT "taking back everything you said" about hevi-shot vs lead. I still think what I said earlier istrue:H/S isthe future of turkey hunting I think, just have to get our guns tuned-up for it etc. |

Thanks guys!! I was pumped after waiting so dang long for NY to open!! I could of had bird #2 yesterday morning but that dang Gobbler spotted me moving my gun ever so slowing from 70+ yards out, Game over!! Talk about wanting to cry my eye's out!! OH well, all the more reason to go after that bad boy again, right!! |
