Friday morning I harvested my FIRST Spring Gobbler in 6 years of hunting them. I heard him gobble at 0550. Got my gear and headed into the woods. I got the decoys set up and made it back to my tree just in time to see him crest the ridge in front of me. I only called to get him to come out of full strut. He poked his head up and the 3" 5's took him down at 37 yards. looked at my watch 0620. 17lbs 10" beard 3/4" spurs |

way to go...message here is that if you are where they want to be , calls are irrelevant ...sometimes I tend to forget that very important rule. |
