Piedmont gobbler

No I didn't get any gobbler this year (yet), but it's been a good year. As promised, the IRISHMAN took me to his "honey hole" after I whined that I had not heard anything this year. What makes this so special? We had never met before, except on this board. I saw one boss gobbler (which we accidently walked up on moving to a setup) and one Jake milling around in a plowed field. We hunted, exchanged stories, shared tricks, complained about our knees, and finished the day with a few cold ones. With or without a turkey, this hunt was a success for me. How many guys would take a day off for a stranger AND take them to their favorite spot? The quality of guys I have met on this board never ceases to amaze me.

PG, I have met several guys from the board now. I will agree that WE (Turkey Hunters) are a special breed. I have to admit that it is pretty cool to experience a hunt with folks that you dont know at all or very well other than talking to them on the board. It seems as though I have found that we share a lot of the same interests, and that is why we do what we do. Just another feather in Freddy's cap for keeping the interest of some great folks on here.
