Everyone be careful, have a good time, and good luck! If you have a chance take a kid or someone new to the sport hunting with you. Always remember to respect our sport, the land where we hunt, other people, and the game that we pursue. Always hunt ethically and legally. Always leave the land the way you found it. Note how other people perceive you, not all people are hunters, and some do not understand why we hunt, and that there is a need to hunt. TNX Freddy.....As Freddy said everyone... please be careful & have a Great Time!!......I am heading to camp this evening.. I expect rain & a slow Opener but I will be there!.... two of the older guys I grew up hunting deer with are coming out hunt with me after the Nephew had to cancel.....I have waited many yrs to get the chance to work a bird with/for them.. Man, I will not be able to sleep tonight! This is my first hunt, so I'll have the same excitment as when I was little trying to sleep the night before opening day for doves! | ||

Thanks Freddy and Knight. I think we're gonna get wet but I will be there too. I am also taking my son and am going to try to call one in for him. Thanks guys and good luck to everyone from me too. I am heading to camp today also, and hope to have some stories to tell on Monday. Even if it is raining, hey it's better than being at work. I'm ready and have the vest (er ton truck) packed with all the gear for tomorrow with plenty of birds located. Now just need them to cooperate. Am going to take my father tomorrow. He killed his first turkey last year. Took me plenty when I was young. Now time to repay the favor. Good luck to everyone!! | ||

Good luck to all. Me and my buddy are taking our 8 year old boys in the morning. We're gonna try to sit in a blind and try to get lucky. We're gonna get wet, but I wouldn't care if it was a hurricane tommorrow. Be safe and have fun!!! ENJOY!!! | ||

just got back from roosting two toms less than 60 yards from the blind i constructed last week. i'm taking my 4 year old son for the first time. wish me luck, i'll need it. it's tough enough without a 4 year old!!!!!! brian carter |
