I know someone may have started this if so sorry if not tell about your opening day traditions. I like to get up early (if I sleep at all) have some coffee watch the weather report and head out I always say a prayer for the day and the hunt a little longer on opening day, and I thank God for all he is given and provided. Man I can't wait.... |

I traditionally kill a turkey on opening day but since Freddy started showing up down here in Tenn for opening day I cannot seem to kill one on opening day anymore..hahhaha...Seriously, on opening day I have hunted the same place for a many years. It has been very good to me. I usually do not even scout this place before the season, just go to the same ridge and the birds are usually where they are supposed to be. This year I went 50 miles in another direction and have felt like I betrayed my old spot. Guess I will get over it. |
