Well Ladies and Gentlemen, I came home from Tenn without a bird, but I had a great time. Let me thank a few of you that made my hunt a lot of fun I will keep names anonymous to protect the innocent, but you fellas know who you are. The weather was not great at first but Sudany a.m. and all day Monday were great. I was working two birds in at close range on Sunday in very steep terrain, and had a hunter sneek in on me and shoot one of the birds right out from under me. Could not believe it. He actually said he did not know anyone was there....yeah right. Monday evening I had a bunch of hens leading a longbeard to me and I was just patiently waiting since they were heading toward me. Two guys topped the rige and that show was over too. I heard about 15 birds total and worked a few others. I heard and saw birds every day. The country is very awesome and on two occasions I heard birds across the rige that I could not get to. This was definately a hunt that tuned me up and got me in shape for our season. By the way guys sorry about the Tenn birds not counting in the contest, that was really Freddy's idea. However, you can bet if you want to come to VA to hunt I will be glad to help you out.
