I would first like to Congratulate the hunters that have taken birds, and also send my Good lucks to the hunters that are waiting for the up coming season. This has worked out to be a up and down season for me as do to the new laws in the US with bring firearms across the boarder. I sent away for the permits a No. of weeks ago and have yet to hear a thing. It sure makes for untied plans for a hunter that travels. Besides that , Good luck to all from Canada !...BT |

I hadn't heard that nonU.S. citizens had to have a permit approved in advance to bring a firearm into the U.S. I thought you only had to declare it at the border. Is this just since 9/11? Is our Government charging you anything for the permit? We cannot expect Canada to make it easier to bring firearms into Canada if the U.S. is making it hard on Canadians. |

Sorry to hear about the trouble!! Hopefully you will get your permits soon. I will keep my fingers crossed for you! Guess a lot of reg's has changed since 9/11 ... our Government never was too good with paperwork before 9/11, now they have gotten even slower. Good luck this spring Adrian... Scott |
