OK all you VA boys, Freddy has allowed us to have a little contest. Sorry to the neighbors in other states but the bird must be killed in VA (You out of state guys can kill a bird in VA and enter it though). We will use the VA and NWTF system. Weight + 2 X Beard + 10 X Spurs = total. You can use the score your bird calculator on the site. THIS WILL BE ON THE HONOR SYSTEM!!!! You must pre-register in this post and we will close this post on the 8th of April. There will be a special post for pictures. Prizes will be awarded for the best score and the best 1st bird for all of you that are new to the sport. Plus we will have a trophy to give out at the cookout. Just post here to register, and make sure to fill out the e-mail address below your name when you post so we can contact you if we need to. GOOD LUCK!!!!!! No fee was decided on Max and GN. I think donations to the board were the first step. We can let Freddy chime in when he gets back from his luxury life in SC. I think it would be hard to collect dues at this time since the opener is so close. Lets just hope that the guys pitch in for the board, and send some $$$ to Freddy. | ||

My bird scored a 54.8 I think.. The weight and the spur lengh are giving me a problem how do you round to a decimal 18lb 11 1/4 oz and the spurs are 7/8 inch almost a inch would it be 18.8lb and .8 for the spurs let me know. I redid my score with help from a math wiz at work. 18lb 11 1/4 oz = 18.703125 10 in beard 2 spurs @ 7/8 in = .875 total score= 56.203125 or 56.2 there thats it Jon |
