Was wondering if any of you have tried Federal's new Grand Slam ammo? I've been using their Federal Premium's since I got my Mossberg and was thinking about putting some of the Slam's through it this year. I guess it's their version of Winchester's HV loads... |

i tried them but like the 3 inch with 2 oz, of shot better. i shoot an 870 with a star dot tube.fed prem does well but rem. prem does better in my gun.i shot alot over the last couple weeks using different choke tubes and shells. the star dot choke tuke with remingtom prem will put 95-96 pellets in a 9 inch paper plate at 40 yards with an average of 28-32 head neck hits. I use 6 shot but 5's also do well. |
