She switched around the digital cable program we had and asked me if I wanted the "sports and info" tier. I of course said yes. Guess what boys, I now have The Outdoor Channel. Man this station rules! Primos show and Secrets of the Hunt was on last night. I was flipping between them and the DUKE game. Decisions.
My wife said those turkey shows sound like a porno with the cheesy music in the background. Good observation by the wife.

Pirate,

Why did you have to go and bring up "The Outdoor Channel"? My husband has been hinting for quite sometime now to get that....if he does then the ONLY thing that will be on our TV is ESPN and The Outdoor Channel (unless I hide the remote). :o)

I would love to have the Outdoor Channel :( Since we moved to Salem we don't even have OLN anymore. Is Secret's of the hunt JUST playing on the Outdoor Channel now? I havn't seen it on TNN in some time.... Scott

Freddy: for the cost of a coke and a candy bar you can have outdoor channel -- $1.99 per month for me. Wife hates it. I reserve tuesday nights as my night = tuesday night pursuits. I make up by watching a bunch of those LMN shows (you know...the television for women channel)-- whew the undertones. LMN should just come out and say that all men are dirtbags...LOL.

Guys, Believe it or not, the outdoor channel stuff does get old after you've had it a while -- I wait patiently through wads of advertising for the hunt, then when it comes on the phone rings everytime.

I have been thinking about switching to a dish, and I will get the Dish Network 500 over Direct since it has the Outdoor Channel. I think my wife would really hate it also. By the way VA Hen whats wrong with only having two channels, that is if it is ESPN and the Outdoor Channel?

Get DISHNET! They have OUTDOOR CHANNEL on CH 153. It dominates my TV.

Hody,

The only thing that's wrong with it are the two channels that you mentioned. :o) I can watch turkey hunting shows for a right good while, but I do get tired of sports (except Braves baseball).

I went out a made the commitment and bought a DISH system. I was so pumped to be getting the Outdoor Channel I could hardly wait for the installer to get there. Well the day of the install I get a phone call at work from the dealer. He says that due to the landscape, I could not get the signal. You can imagine how I felt. I could not believe it since we had already had DirectTV for over a year. DISH's satellite is at a different angle in the sky than DirectTV's. Sore subject around my house. I have been researching how much it costs to rent a bulldozer....

Turkeypicker: that "gets old" comment really hurts. :)
