I just found out that about 200 to 300 acres near the house will probably be up for sale soon. It is being selective cut now, the timber company will sell it when they are finished. It's all mixed hardwood with no houses for several miles. Located in Southwest Virginia; contains (or at least did) deer, turkey, grouse, and has beaver swamps with mallards and woodies. You would have to let me hunt though. |

PC: It don't know for sure. I don't think it will be very much because of it's remote location. I don't expect residential prices as the access is a gravel road that is a low priority in winter. Plus it's either swampy or mountainside, not much in between. If I find out more I can let you know. I can't imagine more than $500 per acre, and I may even be way off on that guess. |
