Do you or anyone you know hunt in Fluvanna County. I am getting ready to build a house out there, and would like to hunt local. Wouldnt mind joining a hunt club or something.

Thanks,
Coach

When do you start on your house? Did you buy a parcel of land, etc...? Good luck with that!

I was able to find 25 ac. hopefully in the next month something will happen as far as breaking ground. Its a thin piece maybe 80yds wide, cutover pine.

Hunting possibilities don't look good. But I need a little room for the dogs ans such.

What part of Fluvanna are you moving to Coach? I hunt in the Fork Union/Palmyra area. The deer population seems to be growing from an all time low,but it's going to be awhile. We have always had a good amount of turkeys around and I think there would be more without the poaching.

Moving to 605 area near the Goochland Line and Byrd Creek (I think its the name). Any names of hunt clubs I would appreciate it.

I know waterlou is right by me, but I heard that they want 350 for two years, and then you have to buy stock at 2,500 if you continue. So I would like to find another one. (I have not verified this though) Any ideas would be great.

Thanks,
Rob

Good luck w1th your new home Coach.I'm not sure how far you want to travel to hunt but there is a hunt club on Rte. 6 just West of Fork Union.Gold Mine Hunt Club is the name.I don't know what the dues are or any specifics. They have several different properties from what I hear. They run hounds for deer and as far as turkey hunters in the club I'm not sure.Hope that may help you.
