Spring is in the air. I have already seen many flocks of robins returning home that is a good sign things are changing. Also the days are getting longer, this will cause the bird to be more vocal I think. I can't wait for the morning to come where I can hear the wood thrush sing at first light and the old owl hoot and that old troaty gooooobbble, of that tom. Only eight weeks left to get ready (less for you Freddy). The birds in my area are still in small flocks but sometimes you see one struting in the crowd, hope to get started on some scouting this weekend as the weather looks like it will be good. I can't wait. |
