I've got a Winchester 120 Ranger pump that I use for just about every type of hunting. I'm thinking of painting it camoflage for turkey season. I usually use a camo sock on it, but I'm always having to re-adjust the sock. Anybody ever painted their shotgun camoflage before? Any suggestions on the best camo kit? Tips on how to do the best job? Do the removable paints really remove easily?

My first turkey gun was a Stevens double barrel. I painted the metal with gray primer and then spotted it up with rust primer and hunter green paint. Wasn't beutiful, but I got my first three turkeys with it!

Dale...here's a great page done by Varmit Al.. if you read through he will go over how he painted his rifles for hunting...

http://www.cctrap.com/~varmint/ahunt.htm

I believe he used the Hunter Specialties painting kit with thier leaf patterns. He even has some pics of a completed rifle he has done. I have heard several hunters talk about doing theirs the same way and loved it. (I bought mine already painted at the factory.) Hope this helps..Scott
