So far looks like you guys got a good thing going here.My name is Jan Futrell im a hunter from Southampton Cty. Va.IM a member of the Nwtf and of a new local chapter here Tri County Longbeards.We meet next on Feb.11 th at Ivor Hunt Club 7:00 .and our first banquett is April 11th at the 4-H Center in Wakefield Va..I wonder if any of our local members post here if so let me know....Ive been hunting turkeys for going on four years now and iv gotten two twenty pounders so far w/ my bow and ive missed at least six others,ive learned to hunt em on my own from reading watching videos and putting alot of time in the field watching birds and riding around practicing my calling on birds i see in the fields .Every bird ive gotten a shot at iv called in myself,now im looking forward to sharing my hunts w/ my four kids and friends.Im a bowhunter so that is naturaly how i started turkey hunting i know i could have killed alot more birds bye now but im happy w/ my success so far.Looking forward to talking to the folks in here .JMF |

Welcome DaddyJan... Bowhunting these critters is tough- congrats on your success! My wife killed a gobbler in Southhampton Co. last Spring. Those swamp birds are tough! |
