Introduce your wife, girl friend, or teenage daughter to outdoor activities in a non-threatening environment. Women participating in prior year events have loved it and the National Wild Turkey Federation membership fee goes to a great cause (restoring the wild turkey and its habitat, and promoting the hunting tradition).
September 29, 2001, at the Izaac Walton League of America in Centreville Virginia.
An all day event for women 14 years and older, sponsored by the National Wild Turkey Federation and the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries, offering participation and instruction in two introductory outdoor activities that may include: Fly fishing , Outdoor Survival Skills, Turkey & Deer hunting, Shooting (Muzzleloader, Pistol, Rifle, and Skeet), Fishing, etc. A $45 registration fee includes: an NWTF annual membership (includes: T-shirt, Women in the Outdoors Magazines), continental breakfast, lunch, educational materials, equipment use and door prizes. I have participated in one WITO event in Roanoke and absolutely loved it!! It's a great way to enjoy outdoor activities of all different types.
