I dug up this info and thought i would share it with ya'll. I remeber reading this yrs. ago but could not remember the exact numbers. So here we go out of 1000 turkey eggs laid 457 will hatch,137 poults will reach 2 weeks old,and 69 will reach 1 yr.old. Of these 69 only 34 will become 2 yrs. old,17 will become 3 yrs.old and 9 will become 4 yrs. old. All i can say is i am glad i am not a turkey!It also says only 10-20 percent of turkeys get killed by hunters others by predators and diseases.
