For those of you who were able to hunt Wednesday evening, how was the game activity? With the front moving into southwestern Virginia, I would have bet a lot a movement was going on.

dale it was awesome i always glass the feilds when i get home to see whats stirring. and yesterday was great. i seen a total of 9 deer one being a small buck.i took my son with me and after setting for maybe 2mins, he got restless(he is only 5)so after we walked back to house he went in to play. and the conditions were so good that i felt like i maybe could sneek through a field that rolls up to a point then shoots back down into the woods. and as i was nearing the crest i saw the tops of two deer feeding only 35 yards at the point it was slightly raining and no wind. the grass was knee deep if it would have been shorter i would have been busted. anyway i take three more very slow steps. and the does take a couple of steps in my direction. and with some luck and a well place arrow was able to harvest my 5th deer ever and second with a bow!

That's great hennedup. I've harvested my share of deer, but haven't bowhunted in about 10 years. I have one bow kill to my record, but this year's early fall weather has gotten the bowhunter in me stirring. I used to love to bowhunt the leading side of a cold front. Congrats on deer number 5 and deer number 2 with a bow. You have added fuel to the fires!
