How did you know? I did sneak out this morning - back to that bird I worked on Saturday I told you about. Same thing today. Gobbled at least 50-60 times on the roost, with doubles and triples. 4-5 times on the ground and that's about it. He has 4 ways to go from the roost and I've covered two of them this week. Hopefully I pick the right one tomorrow since that's my last chance!

Don-
Did you get one on Saturday?? I went and we got on two birds. One was really hot, triple gobbling to every yelp and owl call. It was the same beard that we heard gobbling that morning in the field. The only problem was it was on the wrong side of the swamp, so we couldnt get close. Then, we got on another about 8:30 at the farm, but it got with hens before it got to us. How did u do?

Tyson - glad to hear you had another exciting hunt. Sounds like you worked birds every day you went, except for the day you took me!
The bird I had been hunting wasn't playing on Sat. Went to the same ridge where this bird was roosted the two days I hunted him last week and didn't hear any gobbles. Each day last week when I only had a couple of hours to hunt, he gobbled 50+ times each day. Of course the day that I have all morning to hunt him - nothing. To top it off, I left to go to another spot to try and find a different bird and had a flat tire. Had to go get that fixed and that was the end of my turkey season.
