I did not here any birds this morning, checked some fields this morning around 10:30 I found a hen & a gobbler feeding. I circled around them through the woods. When I eased back to the field they had worked over to the other side of the field. I got behind a tree on one knee and called out to them I got there attention. The hen came back across the with the gobbler in tow. She crossed in front of me about fifty yards the gobbler never said a word but he was intensely looking. When got within fifty or so yards he stretched his neck out looking thats when I let him have it. He was big framed bird but he really did not have the weight. 15.5lbs 10inch beard 1" inch spurrs. |
