I grouse hunt near some of my turkley areas , and am seeing a lot more turkeys than grouse agin this year. I guess it is because there is a lot of soft mast, grapes, etc in some of the east tenn/swva, se ky low ridge areas and the turks are in there after it too. I am seeing a grouse an hour in the best places and somedays not seeing any at all, but Iseem to be n turkeys, or on smokin scratchin more than once an hour. My little setters have at least learned to wag their tails a bit on the turkey points, and are real solid tailed on the grouse points, so I have a pretty good idea what I a m in too by the way they are pointing. |

Well... I haven't seen a grouse in our parts in years... I wish we had both, but sounds like you got quite a few more turkeys... |
