Well, what has everybody downed? How about a check in from you folks. Deer, turkey, squirrels, rabbits, flies, don't leave anything out! I know folks want to brag a little, but are afraid to seem proud. So now I'm asking, you won't be bragging. Don't forget weapon used.

this is only my second year hunting and my first year was awsome. didnt think i would be able to top it. was lucky enough to take my first bow kill this year! it was a small doe but it was a trophy to me.also scored on a nice 6 pointer and a doe with a muzzeloader. those were great hunts but the one that stands out in my mind came thanksgiving day.i had been seeing two gobblers just about every time i went hunting on this one farm.so i decided i would turkey hunt instead of deer hunt.my cousin went hunting with me but he wanted to deer hunt so i put him on a stand were i killed my 6 pointer and i went were i had been seeing those birds needless to say i didnt see anything but i did hear a gobbler yelp two or three times early that morning (which was awsome).well it was about 10:30 something to 11 when i decided to go see if my cousin had seen anything. when i came out of the woods i seen him at the truck. so i walked to see if he had had any luck and he said no. so we decided that we would walk around and see if we cold jump something up. we had walked a little ways when my cousin said he wanted to go back to his stand. i tried to talk him out of it but he had his mind made up. so i continue walking down this feild road. the road made it way to a point and then rolled down hill slightly into a bunch of pines. as i peeked over the point i could see about 15-20 birds feeding around in the feild edge. so i eased back down and crawled around the edge of the feild until i got about 60 plus yards from the birds and couldnt get any closer. so i just took of running like a mad man and they went flying every were. i stood there for a minute trying to decide what to do. so i thought i would go back into the pines and see if i could call them back in. as i was walking back through the pines several birds had flew up and i busted them again.figuring i had ruined my hunt i decided i would walk a little farther. well i came to a place were it open up a little bit and sat down and listened.after a few minutes i decided to yelp a couple of times nothing did it again nothing. about the third time i heard kee, kee, yelp, yelp, yelp.then i heard it again not having a lot of faith in my kee, kee.i decided to do it any way next thing i know i could hear kee, kees coming from every were. it sounded like they were gathering in the botttom from me so i started calling alot and the next time i heard them i knew they were coming my way. so i was looking in the direction i thought htey would come and out of the corner of my eye i could see three hens about 20 yards away through some trees so i eased around and shot a load of #6's in the direction of the lead hen and she dropped dead in her tracks.the other birds flew away. i was so excited i didnt know if i should laugh, cry or what this being only my second turkey. man it was fast paced and exciting(only wish my cousin couldve been with me he also wished he could have been there) thanks for letting me share this story with you and hope that it wasnt to long. thanks . henned up

Well i havn't been out as much as I would like... BUT I have been out :) Let's see... went out two times for squirrels... one fox squirrel and three grays. Went out twice for turkeys, didn't see a one. Went out four times for rifle deer season, didn't take one but had a heck of a good time. First time back in the rifle deer season in 10 years, can't wait until next year.

Has been a good season for me thus far. Turkey hunting twice, no birds. Squirrel hunting once with Scott, no squirrels because I was too busy watching deer. Deer hunting about 5 or 6 hunts. Saw deer on every outing. Killed a nice doe for the freezer and a nice 7 pointer with a 17 1/4" inside spread on a hunt with Scott on the last day of rifle season. Still have late muzzleloader to go and the remainder of fall turkey. Hope to get my first fall bird this year!

Glad you enjoyed the venison. Sounds like a good trade to me. Good companionship on a good hunt for some tasty venison. Gee, I came out good on that deal. All you got was a full tummy! (LOL)

Between me and my 12 year old, we have three deer. He has a six point and doe, and to hear him tell it, he let me shoot a doe.
