I have heard several people tell me that the rut may be early this year. Bucks already chasing does. I don't bow hunt but love the blackpowder season. I recently came across a nice scrape line and had a buddy of mine tell me that I should put a scent dripper up around/over the scrape. Anyone have any luck doing this? Do those things really work?

I nailed my buck on November 13th last year, he was right on a doe's ass and I heard him grunting all the way in!! That week seems to be the "Magic" time to be in the woods!!

I saw two Bucks in the last three days both where on the trail of a doe. They paid me no mind as they walked threw the field with there nose planted to the ground like a hound on a blood trail. I think the cold snap may be getting them started.. This season is looking to be a good one as far as weather and how it is suposed to be this time of year are concerned ie. cold not warm to hot.
