Somehow I managed to call in two gobblers sat am. My buddy, who was hunting with his bow for the first time in 12 years had a shot but could not get drawn. The two came to within 18 yards of me, but I did not have a clear shot. That's just how it goes, I guess. They were extremely vocal - cutting, cackling and purring really loud. I have never called in a gobbler in the fall before. Freddy, I was using that mouth call you gave me at the cookout, the "Prototype". Uh, it works!

Good deal... Great job getting them in, getting a shot can be tough!

Congrats on calling in a fall longbeard and glad that "prototype" worked for you...

Get them next time...

This one is has small brown tape with a split double reed (at least a double, can't remember if it has 2 or 3). Great course clucks and yelps. Cutting is good too. Turn it over and it kee kee's great (ha ha).

Primos is onto something...

Be glad to field test the bright orange one too :)

BB... you can thank Diablo for figuring that call out! I think he has a name for it, but not sure if we can say it on the board... :)
