I hope no ones offended by this if so I'm sorry. We hunter are very blessed to be able to enjoy our outdoors. The deer season opening today in Chesapeake,bow and gun.I have a paper back that I keep on my desk. It's called The Road Of Life. on thelast page there is a painting of a 8 pointer standing in the snow and there is a poem by Norma Woodbridge.Sunshine orshadow,God's love is the same.He is consistent.Faithful is his name. Though I walk through the valley, Or by pastures green,Sun or shadow,His grace can be seen. Sun or shadow, I shall not fear.Perhaps doubts surrounds me and danger is near.God will watch o'er me, Oh!praise His Name!For in sunshine or shadow, God's love is the same. I'm a christian by faith but I'm not a perfect by any means I just read this and thought it sounded nice. Have a safe season my friends and good hunting to you all. Tim |

Here Here. Never apologize for your faith, share it whenever you can. I personally don't think you can stand in God's outdoor creation and not be moved, not realize there is a higher power watching over us all!

For the gun season you mentioned in eastern VA. Is there any public hunting lands? |

Central ,In Va Beach you can hunt the False Cape State Park and in Chesapake you can hunt the Great Dismal Swamp NWR areas. I think you have to get a permit though the city. I hunt a couple of farms in Chesapeake, over cut corn and soybean fields. I'm not a big fan of Cotten Mouths and Rattlers. If you are planning on trying to hunt these areas I strongly suggest snake boots and lots of off the mosquitoes are real bad. Good luck. Tim |
