Have you guys picked out your trees? This will be my second season with a bow and I can't wait. Doesn't look like I will be in the woods as much as I was last season, but I think of last season as a big scouting trip anyway since I blanked. Got a good location a big one is using. It will just be great to get back out there. Let us know how you do and good luck! |

Starting to twitch a little! I got into a lease last week which is 7000 acres with 20 people. They say days of sighting 100 deer are possible, so you know I'm bouncing of the wall. Don't have a stand picked yet except for the little oat patch here at the house. This is really gonna be learning year for me at this new lease. Glad you've got some nuts to hunt around Freddy. The only nuts I'll be hunting around will be wearing camo. It looks very thin here in SWVA. I got a terrible report from one of my spots in Bland county (TScott's turf) from a friend that scouted yesterday. He was on Garden Mountain and found no mast. Good luck to all. |

Got permission to hunt a 133 acre farm in Floyd Co. that no one else is hunting. Found several good rubs in a pine thicket and the white oak mast is very good there. Me and my son have our trees picked out. Now if I could just find a way to make Saturday get here sooner. Good luck to everyone. I'm afraid it's gonna be warm and wet for the opener here in SW Va. according to the local weather. Let's hope they're wrong. Kevin |
