Is it raining in the Va. Mountain? (Hope so.)Has there been any talk of a fire ban?

Yes. All night. Still raining very steady. We have gotten quite a bit in the last two weeks here in SW VA. Mowing yard twice a week! I have heard rumors about a ban. Somebody else here probably knows the facts.

Started last night here in Augusta Co.... is raining good right now... everywhere in the Valley & west into WV..........God is Good!!!!!!!!

Hey Max, I see that you said it was raining in Augusta Co. Do you live there? I deer hunt there outside of Churchville. I hunt in the GWNF and camp at the North River camp ground. Do you know this area?, I was just wondering . I'm starting to get excited. Almost time to pack . Have a great day and is God is good!!!

I live in Middlebrook (about 8.5 miles south of Staunton).. I know the norht river area fairly well. I have fished & hunted it alittle. I hunt deer mainly in Highland Co near head waters..also on some farm land in Augusta.Small world!

Max, I also have hunted the Highland Co. area.Big deer over there!! Hope to retire there someday. Hey we will be in the North River Camp Ground the first week of the deer season. I alway go up the Thursday of Friday before opening day. Most of the time it me and 3 or 4 fellows. My daddy stated taking with him when I was 8, sure miss this time of the year. I'll be 40 on Oct 3 so I know the area pretty well, Anyways Max I'D like for you to come over one evening and have a cup of coffee and talk turkey or what ever. Have a good day, Tim

Left the house this morning and the rain gauge had 1.75" in it! Very good to see...
