How are the birds flying in your area? In No VA the season has been mediocre. Opening day I saw maybe 20 or so birds on a 10 acre field in 3 hrs. |

It's been pretty good in Chesapeake, I've been out one full day and three eve's and have gotten 38 birds. Last year the birds were flying alot better. The farm I hunt was cut early and I think that might have slowed the birds some. Also he clear cut his corn and that did not leave much behind for the birds. |

It has been pretty good down here in Giles County. Opening day was a lot of fun with birds flying all afternoon. We hunt over a tobacco field. Between three of us, we shot around 175 rounds. I will not disclose how many birds were taken, but I will say that our wingshooting skills need some serious work! |

Big Bird; If you ever need an extra man or two to keep them stirred up, just let me know. I love the sport, there's just not many places in northern Tazewell county to dove hunt. |

Went out last Wednesday with Strutstopper and we didnt see anything in Fauquier County. But we went prepared. We carried our fishing rods with our guns and caught some nice bass in the Rappahannock. Can't ever be too prepared. Oh we saw a nice 6 pointer also. PG |
