well I know i've ran this in the ground but guess who finally gave in... :)

THE OUTDOOR CHANNEL SIGNS AFFILIATION
AGREEMENT WITH DIRECTV

TEMECULA and EL SEGUNDO, CA, Sept. 4, 2002 – Management of The Outdoor Channel, Inc. a majority-owned subsidiary of Global Outdoors, Inc. (OTC; GLRS) announced today an affiliation agreement with DIRECTV, Inc., provider of the nation’s leading satellite television service, for distribution of The Outdoor Channel. The outdoor lifestyle network will be offered as part of the DIRECTV SPORTS Pack.

The Outdoor Channel will launch on Oct.1 and provide DIRECTV customers with quality programming designed to educate and entertain sportsmen of all skill levels. The programs are designed to appeal to "traditional sportsmen" of all ages with a focus on activities that the entire family can enjoy in the great outdoors. The SPORTS Pack can be added to existing programming packages as a premium package for $12 more per month.

The DIRECTV SPORTS Pack includes more than 20 regional sports networks, Fox Sports World, NBA TV and The Golf Channel.

Great Scott! I have almost switched from DirecTV to Dish Network several times but just hadn't done it yet... Great news!

That is good news for you Direct TV guys. I have been enjoying it on Dish for years now. The only difference is it only costs $1.99/mo and you can get it individually. MIKE
