The National Capital Area of the NWTF in partnership with the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries is sponsoring a Women in the Outdoors event September 7, 2002, at the Izaak Walton League facility in Centreville VA. This is an all day event for women 12 years and older offering participation and instruction in various introductory outdoor activities that include: Fly fishing, Fishing, Wilderness Survival, Game Biology and Hunting Techniques, Rifle Shooting, Shotgun Shooting, Pistol Shooting, Archery, Map and Compass, and Mountain Biking. A $45 registration fee includes: a 1-year NWTF membership (includes: T-shirt, Women in the Outdoors Magazines), continental breakfast, lunch, educational materials, and equipment use. We have 70 women registered so far. Looking to get over 100, like last year. It is going to be another great event. |
